Morgantown, WV, February 4, 2026 – Clear Mountain Financial Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Sowards as a financial advisor. Sowards brings more than nine years of experience from top firms in the region.

In his new role, Sowards will build relationships with clients and provide comprehensive financial advice and services, including but not limited to annuities, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, estate planning, insurance, retirement planning and investment guidance. He will work closely with clients to develop tailored strategies that meet their unique financial goals.

"I am beyond excited to join the team at Clear Mountain Bank and Clear Mountain Financial Solutions," said Sowards. "Having worked at other non-community firms, this opportunity allows me to truly put the client first while collaborating with an exceptional group of professionals."

"It is an honor to have Josh join our Financial Solutions team," said Melissa Cumpston, vice president and director of wealth management. "His impressive career background, combined with his commitment to exceptional customer service and strong skill set, makes him an ideal addition to our growing team."

A West Virginia native, Sowards came to Morgantown in 2005 to attend West Virginia University, where he was a member of the Mountaineer Men’s Basketball team from 2005 to 2009. During his collegiate career, he played under head coaches John Beilein and Bob Huggins, contributing to two Sweet 16 appearances and an NIT championship.

Sowards earned a bachelor's degree in business management from WVU and holds Series 7 and Series 66 Securities licenses.

Sowards has called Morgantown home for more than 20 years. He and his wife and two children are active in the community, with a particular focus on youth sports.
