Bruceton Mills, WV, June 23, 2025 - Forbes has named Clear Mountain Bank as the top-rated bank in West Virginia as part of its 2025 Best-In-State Banks list. Annually, Forbes awards the best banks in each state and ranks them based on customer feedback. This year, only 191 banks were recognized, including one “top-rated” in each state.
According to Forbes, the Best-In-State ranking intends to show which institutions are most valued by each state's residents and highlight the banks that stood out for fulfilling the unique needs and expectations of their local communities. Banks are scored based on an independent survey of approximately 26,000 U.S. residents. Respondents rate their bank based on various evaluation criteria, including how satisfied and likely they would recommend the bank. Forbes also analyzed publicly available online text reviews and ratings to determine a combined score for each bank.
This marks the second consecutive year that Clear Mountain Bank has been recognized, with 2025 being its first-ever top ranking.
