Clear Mountain Bank team members, local officials, and construction professionals, participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking event on Tuesday for the construction of a new banking office in the Suncrest area of Morgantown.
David M. Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank, said, “We are very excited to embark on this new project to relocate our Suncrest branch to the corner of Maple Drive and 705, which serves as a hub of activity given its close proximity to the two main medical campuses, several retail businesses, professional offices and more. This site will provide our customers with easy access to our branch and serve as a prime location for us to continue to grow and expand in the Suncrest market for years to come.”
Clear Mountain Bank will continue to offer a full array of financial services at the new location for both personal and business banking customers, including checking, savings, loans, credit card, and financial advisory services, and the bank intends to feature its recently launched professional banking program at the new branch.

Following completion of the new 2,300 square-foot location, the facility will provide many new amenities to improve customer efficiencies. The bank’s video teller service will enable customers to bank during extended hours with a live video teller from the comfort of their car from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 3 pm on Saturdays. The new branch will also offer secure self-serve safe deposit boxes, a tech/coffee bar, three banking offices, a meeting room, and three drive-thru lanes. The building will boast a very modern appearance and will feature a glass front offering a great view of the Evansdale/Suncrest area and will feature a prominently displayed LED branded mountain, depicted in the bank’s logo, through the interior and exterior of the building.
The new office will be located at 946 Maple Drive and will replace the bank’s current Suncrest office at 1085 Van Voorhis Road in Morgantown. Construction of the new office is expected to be completed in February of 2023.
