Bruceton Mills, WV, April 28, 2025 –We are pleased to announce that Chase Thomas has been chosen as the recipient of the bank’s Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award for 2024. This award is presented annually to a Clear Mountain Bank team member who demonstrates a selfless devotion to philanthropy, community service, and volunteerism.
Thomas has been with Clear Mountain Bank since 2013 and currently serves as Vice President of Finance and Analytics. When he is not working at the bank, Thomas has devoted countless hours volunteering for the Preston County Buckwheat Festival. This year, Thomas is the chairman of the festival, following in the footsteps of his father and namesake of the award, Brian F. Thomas.
Previously, Thomas has held the assistant general chairman position for the festival, along with being a board member for the Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Every year, the winner of the award receives a monetary gift of $500, with an additional $500 donation from the bank to the charity or community organization of the winner's choice. This year, Chase has elected to donate the full $1000 to the Kingwood VFD/Buckwheat Festival.
